Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale is the American basketball professional for the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association. She played in the NCAA basketball tournament for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings as the 5th overall selection in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale, born in Milwaukee Wisconsin on March 2, 1997 to Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years old) and Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her two older brothers. As the youngest sister, she received the most attention from her parents. Gregory was the Nigerian Army officer for a length of time. Ogunbowale comes from a lively family. Her brother Dare was a football player and Yolanda Her mother played softball. Aunt Endia Oliver played Volleyball at Tennessee State and her niece played volleyball with UAPB. Ogunbowale has been on the honor roll at her school for three years consecutively. The school also recognized her for her achievements in high school and received numerous awards. Arike received her diploma from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School located in her home town. While studying at the school, she also played three years of varsity football. Ogunbowale, owing to her remarkable skills and abilities, led her school to stunning wins multiple times. The high school season she played in included 73 games with 1,477 career points and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale participated at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and was awarded Gold medals at both. The 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team was announced on the 7th July 2014. Ogunbowale also has been named to the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first season as a collegiate player. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale following the NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale may be new to basketball, but she has rapidly established herself. Arike Ogunbowale is said to have a net worth of $5 million according to an unnamed source. Ogunbowale has excelled in a variety of sports which includes basketball. She also plays soccer and has also been awarded State Cups with the Lake County United Soccer Club. The pianist even taught her for 7 years.
