The babies were at the crib, while I was strapped to an infant to my back. Ha! We were getting close to completing, however we were a long distance to go. It was going to take a lot of money effort and shopping my favorite to furnish this home. My three sons and me looked for treasures hidden going to estate sales in order to help reduce my expenses. Our routine was of walking around auctions and garage sales on the weekend and purchase a range of old pieces and new made. I'd spend my workdays in the driveway painting or sanding. My first impression was like... that's the moment my love for restoring furniture was born. I continued to work on furniture, even after having completed the renovation of our home. At the local market I was able to rent a tiny area and then sold a few objects. In the end, I accumulated more items that I could decide what to do with and outgrew the area. There were open houses at my house where over 1 000 people would come through in a single weekend and could purchase anything they wanted on the ground floor. Growing Days was created in this house. As my business flourished and so did our small family. Being a new mom I was able to strike the right balance to both start my own company and be a good mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora came into our lives in 2013 as our 4th baby. The direction of my business was fantastic, but I needed to take some time off. I decided to quit building my old furniture and be at home with the kids. It was the ideal thing to do. In the course of a few months, the phone began to begin to. There were calls from people asking me to help them with the interior design and renovations of their home. A majority of these were those who had walked through my house during furniture open houses! Once I had a few months, I took on clients in my own way. Before long I had multiple accounts, as well as a house renovations business. When you first spoke to me about your home remodeling business I was astonished. Actually I still kind of smile when I think about the idea.
